Dr.Sketchy's SF, Thursday, February 7 - Bombshell Betty [Feb. 5th, 2008|11:55 pm]
Bay Area Arts

This cropped sketch is Bombshell Betty.

It's been a little over a year since Betty last took the Sketchy stage for a full session. She was the model for the premiere SF session last January when it was so graciously hosted by thomasroche and pony_girl under the name Dr.Sketchy's Barbary Coast.

Bombshell Betty and her establishment assumed hosting duties sometime mid year and I for one am glad to have a safe and sane place to draw my favorite burlesque ladies and the like. (Maybe I'm a bad parent for doing so, but I took my 16 year old daughter to draw at the 2 January sessions which would not have been possible at the last venue).

Dr. Sketchy's SF is taking place this Thursday, February 7 at Bombshell Betty's, 715 Bryant St. # 102 (lo ok for red door) San Francisco, CA 94107 *
More info and reservations at Dr.Sketchy'sSF on Myspace
$10 advance $15 door: General.
$5 advance $10 door: Students/Teachers (with valid ID *in hand*)

I'll be there ... why don't some of you come out and draw with me!

When You Whispered to My Heart [Nov. 10th, 2007|08:09 pm]
Bay Area Arts

Ok, kids. Here is another auction beginning at only 99 cents. For the life of me, I could not get a good shot of this piece. It is a pretty one, but for some reason, the textures and nice colors just don't translate well via my sucky photography. Sorry...but hey. What do you expect for a buck? ;-)

Hi Everyone!

My friend Bim Paras will be having an exhibit of his images, so I thought I'd share this info with the community in case anyone would like to attend!

"Colors of Italy" reception

From Bim:

On Sunday, August 12, 2007 from 4-8pm, I will have a reception showcasing images from my trip to Italy in 2006. Thanks to Nico & Bern of Bacio Cafe, I am lucky enough to have a dozen images currently being exhibited at their cafe in downtown San Mateo, CA.

So if you have the chance, feel free to come and see not only the images I have hanging but others I will be showing. Plus Bacio Cafe is a cool little place to hang out and enjoy good coffee, food, and company.
